There are sentences that can change everything.
Internationally acclaimed pop art artist Heiner Meyer recently spoke in an interview about his life and the tasks he considers particularly important in his work as a successful artist. We ourselves are proud collectors of some of his works and see incredible potential in his artistic career.
Investing in art becomes particularly attractive when clear indicators are evident, such as a continuously rising artist ranking, exhibitions in internationally renowned galleries and museums, and increasing demand with correspondingly higher prices for the works. All of these factors have been clearly evident in Heiner Meyer's career in recent years. Above all, this is due to his mindset and attitude toward his passion and talent.

The interview with this inspiring artist mentioned at the beginning brought us back to a sentence that is of exceptional relevance to us:
Success is an commitment.
Not everyone wants to hear that. Because this sentence challenges us. It makes it clear that success does not depend on chance, but on whether we are willing to take responsibility. Responsibility for our talents and thus also for our entire lives. Those who accept this sentence decide to take control themselves.
This obligation is not only directed at ourselves, but also at the people who are close to us, who rely on us and place their trust in us. With each success, the responsibility for our own decisions, for the foundation of our own lives, and for the impact we have on others grows. Those who internalize this attitude recognize that success is not primarily a result, but a conscious decision to take responsibility.
Growth requires pain and attention
Success means making extraordinary and often courageous decisions. It means taking paths that are uncomfortable and making efforts that others avoid. Many fail not because of a lack of opportunity, but because they don't dare to take the uncomfortable step. They ask themselves the wrong question: “Is it worth it?” and set other priorities. But growth requires pain. Those who do not accept it remain stuck.
Just as important as the willingness to act is attention. Success does not come from simply being there. Success comes when we listen with alert senses, when we recognize the meaning of a sentence, a thought, an encounter, and can accept it for ourselves. Often, it is just a moment that could change everything. Those who are distracted at that moment may miss the chance of a lifetime.
Serenity, courage, and wisdom
Success is an obligation because it brings with it responsibility. Responsibility for our own decisions, for the people who trust us, and for the foundation we build for our lives. Theologian Reinhold Niebuhr summed it up in his famous Serenity Prayer:
“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
That is exactly what it is all about. Serenity in the things we cannot influence. Courage in the things we can shape, and wisdom in deciding how to prioritize these things for ourselves.
For us at via bonum, this means that success is not a trophy or an end in itself. Success is an obligation. And when we talk about success, we inevitably return to the topic of wealth, which we are obliged to manage responsibly. It's not just about numbers. It's about creating the means to enable a self-determined life. A life full of fulfilling moments, freedom, and exciting prospects.
Join us on the path to prosperity!
